Vista Cafe

There are a few reasons why a cafe in Wellington will succeed - great food, good value, friendly people, a superb location and fantastic views - Vista has them all.

While being one of the most popular breakfast and brunch cafes in Wellington, Vista Cafe is also a perfect place to have a romantic dinner for two, a small dinner with you and your closest friends or a large group function.

Vista Cafe is known as a place to be seen, with views second to none in Wellington. Our menus change quite often to showcase New Zealand's freshest seasonal produce and the ever-evolving tastes of the sophisticated crowd that enjoys this picture-perfect cafe.

We have to also say that our signature dishes are always available! These include tapa, Dale's wonderful paella, the Thai fish cakes and this winter's coq au vin.

We cater for all tastes - we can provide delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Vista Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch seven days and dinner from Tuesday through to Saturday. Be sure to visit Vista soon.

Visa Wellington on a Plate

WOAP is now over and we've loved being part of what is now an institution on Wellington's foodie calendar. Thank you to all of you who came in and enjoyed our best-value-ever-special-menu.

Until 2012 . . .

Vista in June Dominion Post: What a lovely picture of Radio New Zealand's Kathryn Ryan enjoying our Eggs Benedict. Look for her photo on the cover page of the Living section, and then the story on Page 3. We love having you at Vista Kathryn!

We're now serving Moa Beer

Specialty brewer Moa Beer is now available at Vista Cafe. We have Moa Methode and Moa Pale Ale on tap, as well as Moa's bottled beers - Harvest, Wit Beer, Methode, Blanc, Noir, Pale Ale, Imperial Stout, Belgian Style Tripel, Five Hop Winter Ale and Moa's innovative Breakfast Beer.

Our congratulations to Moa Beer for its selection as the official beer for the New Zealand Olympic Team. Go Moa!

Brrr, it's cold outside

Our winter menu is full of winter warmers and rib-sticking dishes. Come in and enjoy the good cheer of winter cooking at Vista Cafe.

Here's a glimpse of the menu.

Coq au vin: slow braised chicken thigh with mash, button mushroom, baby onion, lardons and braising liquid.

Venison osso bucco: with rotolo of winter vegetables and chestnuts in a red wine truffle jus with gemolta.

Herb crusted lamb shoulder cutlets: white bean and olive oil puree, bacon, hazelhut and jus.

And we always have our daily specials on the blackboard.

Teatime rocks!

We now have available Dilmah's new Teatime Rocks! range. It's hard to choose between these teas - there are 10 teas - from Brilliant Breakfast, to Moroccan Mint Green Tea to the Rosehip with Hibiscus Flowers. At $4 a pot for one, this is a great way to enjoy a refreshing drink at Vista.
